How / Why I started Frugal Fairytale

If you're crazy about coupons, free samples and great deals like I am then I'm guessing that you have seen TLC's show, Extreme Couponing. When I first viewed this show I thought it would be awesome to save so much money on much needed items. I never thought it would be possible to pull off in the real world though. After a few episodes I decided to buy a Sunday paper and give this whole couponing thing a try. I become fairly good at finding great deals and my friends and family started to notice. They would ask me to take them shopping and teach them how to save money. My mom decided that it would be a great idea to have two local ladies come over and teach a coupon class. Once the class was over I felt that I would have been able to teach the class and even provide more information. That's where the idea of Frugal Fairytale started. While I was working for a property management company as a club house attendant I had lots of time on my hands while at work so I brought my laptop with me and started creating a "couponing 101 packet." Once I had all my ducks in a row I held my first coupon class at my home and I was so surprised at the amazing turn out I had. Many people were interested in what I was doing and people started signing up for coupon classes left and right. I started posting videos on my YouTube channel to share my savings with you all and through them I was discovered by WomanFreebies.com and begun working for them as a blogger. I never thought that my "idea" for a coupon class would turn into a lucrative business. I thought it would just be something fun for me to do in my spare time. Now I have begun to really become more involved with Frugal Fairytale and plan to turn it into a household name. My fiancé and I believe it is important for me to be a stay at home mom when the time comes and I am determined to run a business out of the comfort of my home and I know that I will be able to do that with Frugal Fairytale. My goal is to provide all of you with awesome free samples and coupon deals/match-ups. Thank you all so much for supporting my dreams and helping them become a reality.

My Love Story

My fiancĂ© David and I have known each other since I was eight years old and he was nine. He has lived behind me my whole life and did boy scouts with my older brother. As we grew up and started middle school we stopped hanging out and never talked. Every once and a while he would stop by my house and talk to my dad. He always had to stop by when I was helping my dad do yard work and I always looked like a hot mess. When he came by, I never looked at him or thought twice about him. During the summer of 2010 I was getting over a two year relationship and was just enjoying some much needed girl time with my friends. One night my friend Brandy (who I've also know since I was two years old) called and told me she was at this kid's house who lived right behind me and asked me to come hangout. As soon as she told me his name I told her she was crazy and told her I did not want to. I thought it would be weird to see him after all these years. But, I did add David on Facebook and we started to catch up. A week later we hung out and I can't say it was love at first sight but I did have a little crush on him. I kept trying to talk myself out of liking him because deep down I knew if we started dating that we would get married. I just did not know if I was ready to take that jump. After the first night we hungout we were pretty much inseparable. I went out of town for about three days right after we told each other that we liked each other and that's when I knew he was the one. I did not put my phone down the whole trip because we were texting 24/7. I want to say we made everything official about a week later on 8/16/2010. On March 13th, 2011 David got down on one knee and asked me to become his wife. We have now been engaged for over a year and are in the process of planning our beautiful wedding that will be held on November 10th, 2012! Follow us on our journey to happily ever after.
